Calling all student film makers!
Do you aspire to be the next Akira Kurosawa, rant and rave about the nepotism in the Coppola family, know every Kevin Smith screenplay like the back of your hand, have dreams worthy of a Michel Gondry picture, secretly wish you could change your name to Cohen and claim you’re their missing brother, or just want to have some film-oriented fun?
If you answered yes to any of the questions above then it’s time YOU entered a 1-5 minute film in the USU Short Film Competition!
Due to popular demand, in 2009 the USU Short Film Comp has TWO heats with each their own theme. The first heat was a great success and we are looking forward to the entries of the second heat. The theme for Heat Two is FIRE.
This is your chance to win $1000 worth of prize money plus a whole range of other fantastic prizes, as well the opportunity to have your film screened on Tuesday 1 September at the Short Film Comp Screening Night in Hermanns during the Verge Arts Festival. .
The University of Sydney Union wants students of every persuasion to shake up their weekend by learning some movie skills and throwing together a fun film for all to see!
